The MFT02 was the second single-seater we designed under the MAD Formula Team name. 

With him we were able to enter all European competitions, of which we finally chose to attend Formula Student Austria, Germany and Spain.

Unlike its predecessor, it did not have forced ground effect, which was discarded due to its high weight, since it did not follow the general design objectives imposed at the beginning of the season, among which was weight reduction.

These were its main characteristics:

-Weight of 232.5kg

-10" wheels

-Complete carbon fiber package, consisting of front and rear spoilers, nosewings, side venturis and rear diffuser

-Electric gear change activated by magnetic paddles

-Full carbon fiber monocoque chassis, weighing approximately 27kg

-Custom engine map with 65 hp and 54 Nm of torque.

Results:

With the MFT02 we achieved a first place in Cost & Manufacturing, as well as a third place in design in the Formula Student Spain competition.

Regarding dynamic tests, we achieved a second place in SkidPad with a time of 5,434s, and a sixth place in acceleration with a time of 4,590s.
